A handbuilt handle-less tea cup/small tumbler with hand painted decoration.

The Romans believed that imagery of flying phalluses, aside from being hilarious, brought good luck and protected people from ill-health.

Please note that this is a handmade art piece and so will have irregularities and a personality that commercial pottery will not. This piece is made from a professional grade white stoneware clay fired to 1250C. After a bisque fire, decoration was hand painted in a loose style with underglaze, finished with a transparent glossy glaze and fired for a second time.

This art piece is completely unique and has all of its own curves and bulges and perfect imperfections.

Please note: wipe clean and never place into a dishwasher

Inspired and informed by traditional ceramic shapes, but slab, pinch or coil-built to create a modern take on a traditional vessel. Each piece is handmade and bisque-fired, then decorated with loose paintings on each piece to create an original work of art.
The illustrations are inspired by all sorts, including racy scenes on popular TV .
