Sustainability
There’s a lot of lip service given to the idea of sustainability. I’m not into that. I am deeply nerdy about environmental issues.
For this reason, your pieces are likely to arrive in all sorts of boxes, often with reused bubblewrap and other protective packaging. They might not look pretty as a result but as with all things, it’s what’s inside that counts.
I will in no way compromise on the safe packaging of your pieces.
When I have to use new/virgin packaging materials are, they will be biodegradable and/or made from recycled and recyclable materials. I use biodegradable peanuts, biodegradable bubblewrap, packing paper made from recycled newspapers and paper tape to secure the package.
I’d be delighted if you could manage to reuse your packaging too. Or, better yet, donate it to your local potter!
* Recycling 1 tonne of paper and cardboard saves approximately 12 trees, 2.5 barrels of oil, 4100kw of electricity, 4 cubic metres of landfill, and 31,370 litres of water.
