Lola
A slab built Romantic-era style vase with hand painted decoration and slip trail detailing. The inside of this vessel is finished with a lovely shell pink glaze.
Please note that this is a handmade art piece and so will have irregularities and a personality that commercial pottery will not. These are not considered defects but rather, they add to the unique character of each piece.
After a bisque fire, more decoration was hand painted in a loose style with underglaze, finished with a transparent glossy glaze and fired for a second time.
Approximate size: 22cm x 21cm x 7.5cm
This art piece is completely unique and has all of its own curves and bulges and perfect imperfections. These are not considered defects but rather, they add to the unique character of each piece.
Design
Inspired and informed by traditional ceramic shapes, but slab, pinch or coil-built to create a modern take on a traditional vessel. Each piece is handmade and bisque-fired, then decorated with loose paintings on each piece to create an original work of art.
