Hand built mug with handle, slip trailing decoration and handpainted underglaze details. Finished with a gloss glaze. Completely one of a kind.
The image is a modern take on the Síle na Gig quasi-erotic stone carvings found on Norman or specifically Romanesque churches.
This piece is made from a professional grade white stoneware clay fired to 1250C. After a bisque fire, decoration was hand painted in a loose style with underglaze, finished with a transparent glossy glaze and fired for a second time.
For those of us whose spirit animal is cow.
